Prenatal Strength Coaching

Exercise during pregnancy is typically safe and beneficial as long as you are cleared by your doctor for exercise. Whether you were physically active prior to pregnancy or want to start a prenatal fitness routine, you will reap the benefits (including reduced risk of gestational diabetes, decreased postpartum recovery time, decreased risk of low back pain, and more). Your prenatal strength training program can help you reduce or eliminate bodily aches and pains associated with pregnancy, improve pelvic floor symptoms (potentially through the help of a physical therapist as well!), maintain or improve your muscular strength, and feel prepared for birth. The ultimate objective is to support the well-being of both mother and baby and facilitate a safe and strong pregnancy and birth! See the Prenatal Coaching page to learn more!

Postpartum Strength Coaching

Every woman’s postpartum journey is unique, including your physical and mental capacities. Having a customized program that takes your time, healing, energy, and goals into consideration will improve the likelihood of adherence and be so much more enjoyable! Incorporating exercises that will easily transfer into your daily activities (such as carrying that car seat or wrangling toddlers while trying to feed your baby) can make those situations so much easier physically and mentally. Whatever your unique situation is, we will create the best strength training program together that takes all aspects of your lifestyle and body into consideration. Please visit the Postpartum Coaching page for more information!

About Me

My name is Sarah and I am a stay at home mom of two kids, two years old and 1 year old. I love strength training and have been doing it myself for years as well as with my clients over my past 5 years of personal training. I was able to regain my strength and muscle mass (and then some) in four months after giving birth to my daughter using the knowledge and education I have as well as listening to my body to heal and improve my pelvic pain and core strength (I did zero strength training when I was pregnant with her). This was before I enrolled in the Girls Gone Strong Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Coaching Course, which reassured me that my decision to help pregnant and postpartum women with their strength training journey was the right decision! I am once again on a postpartum strength training program to decrease body fat, improve overall muscular strength and mass, lose that stubborn mom pooch, and feel strong, confident, and sexy in my postpartum body! I am short on free time so my workouts are efficient and precise. I only lift four times per week for an hour or less each session and I’m making great progress! Are you with me?
